Welcome to Buckley School

Our school’s mission is to provide an inclusive, cooperative and resourceful atmosphere that will meet the continuing social, emotional, behavioral and academic development of all students.  In addition, the school’s focus is on high expectations, improved academic achievement, and a positive educational experience for every student. A strong connection between the school and the home is an essential factor in assuring student success.   Through open,ongoing communication, our goal is to provide an exciting, rewarding educational experience for your child. To provide structure and clear expectations for our students, Buckley School has three school-wide rules:

Buckley staff have developed explicit lesson plans to teach expected behaviors across all school settings.  These settings include the following areas:  the classroom, the hallways, the cafeteria, the playground, the bathroom, the bus, and while waiting for the bus.   Our students receive instruction on these behaviors; they role play to demonstrate their understanding of how to exhibit these expected behaviors.  During school, staff members acknowledge and recognize student positive behaviors on a regular basis.  Classroom rewards, monthly Pep Rallies and other special activities are provided to students demonstrating exemplary behaviors.
